Suspect accused in copper theftNEW MARKET -- A town man has been arrested on various theft charges, according to the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office. Samuel Adam Murrey Jr., 20, of 1490 New Market Depot Road, was arrested Dec. 28 and charged with three counts of burglary, three counts of grand larceny and two counts of destruction of property. The alleged crimes occurred a year ago. Lt. Darcy Dellinger said Murrey is accused of stealing copper tubing from the 2000 block of Ridge Road, New Market, between Jan. 14 and 16, 2011; copper pipe from the 1000 block of New Market Depot Road Jan. 8-12, 2011; and cash, a Wii and about $15,000 worth of jewelry from the 1000 block of New Market Depot Road between Dec. 24 and 25, 2010.
