Attempted car parts theft foiled

MT. JACKSON -- Two young men have been charged with grand larceny after they allegedly attempted to steal car parts.
Turner Stewart Martz, 19, of 3890 Jadwyn Road, Woodstock, and Justin T. Mumaw, 19, of 425 Dale Drive, Basye, were arrested Jan. 26, according to the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office.
Lt. Wesley Dellinger said they tried to take the car parts from the 10000 block of Orkney Grade in Mt. Jackson, but were interrupted by the homeowner on Jan. 7.
Martz and Mumaw are scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on March 16.
