WINCHESTER -- Authorities are looking for someone who shot and killed a Frederick County resident's pet dog Tuesday night.
Frederick County deputies responded to the 200 block of Boggess Lane for a report of shots fired in the area at approximately 7:06 p.m., according to Capt. John Heflin. Deputies arrived and the homeowners told officers their blue tick hound had been shot dead, Heflin said Wednesday.
The homeowner heard a vehicle leaving the area around the time of the incident, according to Heflin.
