WINCHESTER -- City police responding to a domestic disturbance arrested a man late Monday on weapons charges.
Officers went to Orchardcrest apartments in the 2500 block of Wilson Boulevard at about 11:45 p.m. in response to the call, according to information from Winchester police Sgt. B. King. The incident involved a man and a woman who lived in the residence, police said.
Officers were told Tyrone John Parker brandished a firearm at a victim and gave the gun to another person, King states. Police found the gun as well as another firearm, according to King.
Further investigation showed Parker to be a convicted felon and that one of the firearms had been reported stolen, King states. Winchester police Sgt. Frank Myrtle said later Tuesday that records showed the gun had been reported stolen from Frederick County.
Officers arrested Parker, 43, of the 2500 block of Wilson Boulevard, on charges of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm and brandishing a gun, according to King. Parker was held without bond at Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center.
The Frederick County Sheriff's Office assisted in the investigation.
