FRONT ROYAL -- Police are investigating a traffic crash Monday morning in which a town garbage truck and bicyclist collided.
The bicyclist, Christopher Roemer, 21, of Capon Bridge, W.Va., was treated for minor injuries at Warren Memorial Hospital and released, according to a Wednesday press release.
Police said Roemer ran into a garbage truck driven by Bryan D. Temple, 35, of Pin Oak Lane, Winchester, at the intersection of North Shenandoah Avenue and West 17th Street around 10:45 a.m.
The truck was traveling north on North Shenandoah Avenue and turned right onto West 17th Street where Roemer, who had also been riding north on the sidewalk, ran into the truck, police said.
The press release identified J. Mumaw as the investigating officer. No charges had been filed as of Wednesday.
