WINCHESTER -- Authorities asked for help in finding an inmate mistakenly released from the regional jail Tuesday.
The Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center released Allen Nathaniel Walker by mistake at approximately 2 p.m., according to a news release issued by the jail Wednesday evening.
Walker is described as a 26-year-old black male, 6 feet 2 inches tall, approximately 195 pounds, with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call investigator Shawn McQuaid at 665-6374, ext. 2273, or Crime Solvers at 665-TIPS.
Walker has multiple convictions for drug-related offenses for which he received a sentence of five years and six months, the release states.
