MT. JACKSON -- Two men have been charged by the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office in an alleged credit card fraud scheme.
Deputies were called to the Sheetz in Mt. Jackson on Dec. 16 after two men tried to buy cigarettes with gift cards, Lt. Wesley Dellinger said. They had put stolen credit card numbers on the backs of the gift cards, he said.
Idriss Gabissi Mansary, 30, of Pinellas Park, Fla., and Ansumana Jawara, 23, of Paris, France, were arrested Jan. 24 on charges of credit card fraud and obtaining money by false pretenses.
Dellinger said the men made two purchases at the gas station, spending more than $550, mostly on cigarettes.
They are scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on March 16.
