City authorities: Man calls 911 after injuring self

WINCHESTER -- A man was arrested early Sunday morning breaking into three Winchester businesses, according to city police.
William Jeremy Miles, 24, of Hazelhurst, Ga., was apprehended after he called 911 and informed police that he had broken into the West Side Barber Shop at 37 West Boscawen Street and had "sustained a severe laceration" on his leg, according to a news release from the Winchester Police Department.
Miles was then found to have broken into two other businesses, the release states. It was determined that Miles had injured himself while inside one of the other business locations.
Miles was taken to Winchester Medical Center for treatment and then transported to jail.
He was charged with breaking and entering and vandalism, pending several other charges.
Miles is being held without bond, according to the release.
