One injured in Dismal Hollow Road crash

FRONT ROYAL -- A woman was transported to Warren Memorial Hospital early Thursday afternoon after her car was struck by another car in the 1400 block of Dismal Hollow Road.

Capt. Wayne Dodson of Warren County Fire and Rescue Services Linden Station said the victim's injuries appeared to be non-life threatening. Virginia State Police identified the victim as Elizabeth Schelin, 47, of the 1400 block of Dismal Hollow Road.

Sgt. F.L. "Les" Tyler of the Virginia State Police said Schelin was leaving the driveway of her home and crossed the path of a Ford F-150 pickup truck shortly before noon. The driver of the pickup was uninjured, Tyler said.

Trooper C.P. Maddox issued a citation to Schelin for failure to yield the right of way, Tyler said.
