WOODSTOCK -- Authorities are searching for two suspects who have reportedly been using counterfeit $100 bills, officials said on Sunday.
Officer Josh Wilberger of the Woodstock Police Department said his office received two reports on the matter Saturday.
Two suspects, a black male and a black female, have been using bleached $5 bills as $100 bills, Wilberger said.
"They will pass the counterfeit pen test, but the security strip and watermark will be that of a $5 bill," he said.
He said that anyone who encounters suspicious bills should call the police department at 459-2141.
