A Fort Valley woman was arrested twice in a week on domestic-related issues, according to the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were dispatched April 24 to the home of Krista Marie Kowalski, 33, of 71 Old Barn Lane for an argument that escalated to violence, Maj. Scott Proctor said.
He said a 36-year-old man said he had been assaulted by Kowalski, and had minor injuries, and Kowalski had left before police arrived. She had taken the victim's cell phone so he couldn't call for help, according to Proctor.
Front Royal police arrested Kowalski on April 25. She was charged with domestic violence and obstructing the summonsing of law enforcement, according to the sheriff's office.
An emergency protective order was served against Kowalski, Proctor said. On April 28, a deputy serving another paper at Kowalski's home, saw her on the property, Proctor said, and she was arrested for violation of the protective order.
Kowalski is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on May 24.
