Warren Memorial Hospital will accept applications for its VolunTeens program until this Friday.
The program, offered to students aged 14 to 17 years old, allows the county's youth to learn skills and responsibilities in the healthcare field, according to a release sent out by the hospital.
Selected students will be interviewed in scheduled appointments that will take place on various days from May 21 to 31. Besides the 30-minute interview, applicants also will complete orientation and training on June 18.
VolunTeens will contribute a minimum of 50 hours of time over the summer, and will work in various departments, including the medical and surgical unit, medical records, nutrition services, Woman's Care Center and Lynn Care Center.
Those teens who are interested in volunteering at Warren Memorial in the upcoming school year must participate in the summer program, the release states.
Applications can be picked up at the hospital's information desk, the volunteer services office or by emailing phimelri@valleyhealthlink.com.
