Lord Fairfax Community College ranked No.1 for growth in student enrollment among Virginia's community colleges, according to data released by the state agency overseeing the institutions.
Enrollment at LFCC for the current spring semester of 6,750 students represented a 3.94 percent increase over the population for the same period in 2011, according to a press release from the college. The data released by the Virginia Community College System showed that LFCC had the highest enrollment growth rate in the state. The college's enrollment had increased by more than 30 percent during the past 3 1/2 years, according to the release. The college consistently ranked among the top fastest growing institutions in the state during that time, the release notes.
