Traffic on U.S. 11 (Old Valley Pike) in New Market will be down to one lane from the intersection with U.S. 211 East (Lee Highway) to 100 feet north of the intersection starting Thursday evening.
The work, being done by a town crew, is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Thursday and go on until noon Friday, according to a news release from the Virginia Department of Transportation.
A water pipe is being replaced, the release states. Flaggers will direct traffic.
