The National 9/11 Flag leads the Firefighter’s Parade on Friday in Winchester as part of the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival. Destroyed in the aftermath of the World Trade Center attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, the flag was stitched back together years later by tornado survivors in Greensburg, Kan. — Alex Bridges/Daily
