A Strasburg man has been charged with sexually assaulting a juvenile, Lt. Tom Shelton of the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office said Friday.
Shelton said that Mark Anthony Ratcliffe, 51, has been held in the Shenandoah County Jail since his arrest May 18. Shelton said authorities believe Ratcliffe sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl at his home on Feb. 4. No weapons were used, and the child did not suffer physical harm, he said.
"We're looking at the possibility of more charges in this case" involving the same victim and defendant, Shelton said.
