A 2005 Toyota Camry driven by Mazhar W. Mirza, 69, of Stephens City was one
of three vehicles damaged in a crash around 2:30 p.m. Friday on Va. 11 in
Frederick County about a half mile south of U.S. 37, state police said.
Mirza was taken to Winchester Medical Center with undetermined injuries,
according to state police Sgt. F.L. (Les) Tyler.
Mirza¹s car was struck from behind by a 2012 Nissan pickup truck while waiting at a traffic light on southbound U.S. 11, Tyler said.
The driver of the truck, Richard B. Lambert, 20, of Clearbrook, was issued a summons for following too closely, Tyler said.
Tyler said the impact of the collision pushed Mirza¹s car into the car in front of him, a 2011 GMC van operated by Ronald O. Armolt of Martinsburg, W.Va.
All three drivers were wearing seat belts, Tyler said.
