Single-vehicle crash

A 28-year-old Hagerstown, Md. man was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital Thursday afternoon after crashing his car on Va. 522.

The unidentified man was driving a 2010 Ford van south on Va. 522, about a half-mile south of Va. 626, when he ran off the right side of the road, hitting trees, state police spokesman Sgt. F.L. "Les" Tyler said. He said Trooper T.L. Hilliker is investigating the crash, which may have been caused by a medical condition.

The small work van could be seen against trees at about 3:15 p.m. State police, Front Royal police, and fire and rescue were at the scene.
