After years of trimming sick or dangerous branches of the large pin oak tree
next to the Strasburg Community Library, a decision was made to remove the
tree after it was discovered that decay had finally reached the main stem of
the tree, making it unsafe to leave standing.
Arborist Alan Gray of Gray Tree Service managed the removal of a large pin
oak tree next to the Strasburg Community Library on Tuesday. Part of the
tree was cut down and workers are expected to return on Wednesday. Cameron
