Daily Staff Reports
The Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office is charging a Strasburg man with various felonies related to thefts in the area.
Joseph William Carroll III, 35, of 4650 John Marshall Highway, was arrested June 21, and charged with conspiracy to commit grand larceny, three counts of felony burglary and four counts of grand larceny.
Shenandoah County Sheriff's investigator Lt. Tom Shelton said the charges stem from Carroll's arrest earlier this year on charges of trespassing, burglary and grand larceny as a principal in the second degree. He said the latest charges came from stolen items in the back of Carroll's truck.
Shelton said the latest charges relate to burglaries from a construction site on John Marshall Highway near the Interstate 81 interchange, from a property on Clary Road, from St. Stephen Lutheran Church on Back Road and from Emmanuel Church at Fishers Hill.
Carroll is accused of taking lawn equipment and tools.
