Programs
The Office of Workforce Solutions at Lord Fairfax Community College is offering the Fall Career Changer Program from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 8 in the Corron Community Development Center at the Middletown campus.
The program consists of a series of accelerated training classes that help participants earn industry skills and credentials for jobs in high-demand industries. Information will be provided on five Career Changer programs: Certified Medical Administrative Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Applied Behavioral Analyst-Direct Support Personnel, Electrical Groundsman and Green Industrial Maintenance Technician.
Free workshops will be offered on reemployment tips and techniques such as marketing yourself, resume writing and interview skills.

Leadership Fairfax is accepting applications for the Emerging Leaders Institute, the LFI Signature Program and the Lifetime Leadership Program.
The Emerging Leaders Institute is a skill-based development program for high potential employees who are ready to focus on core leadership skills and are poised to move up in their organizations.
The LFI Signature Program, designed for established leaders in the corporate, nonprofit and government sectors, is an experiential community leadership development program in which participants examine current issues while honing their leadership competencies in a team-based environment.
The Lifetime Leadership Program, Leadership Fairfax's newest initiative, is designed for individuals who are recently retired or who are getting ready to retire and want to move their lives from "success to significance." This program is being offered in partnership with Volunteer Fairfax and is supported by George Mason University and the Positive Aging Coalition.
