Shelton said Getz was arrested after deputies responded to complaints about a confrontation between Getz and other people on the roadway in the 500 block of Burke Hill Road. Witnesses reported that Getz made threatening remarks, Shelton said.
Shelton said the deputies found Getz at his home where he made a striking motion toward one of them. but his intended target prevented him from making contact.
"It took two deputies to get him under control," Shelton said.
Shelton said Getz was released from custody on $2,500 secured bond.
