Green Acres is the place to be... not though if your there criminally...

I wonder what the guy did? Probably ran a stop sign.

I know one thing he did; ran from the police. Good job SPD!

Where's the story?

You silly people, it's the NVD, you expect a story? It's write your own caption. Your lucky to have those pics and not pics of horses LOL.

Another foolish motorcyclist. The valley is rampant with these individuals, on the weekend it's worse. I've never understood the motorcycle culture anyway, the whole scene seems silly. "Let's get a motorcycle, put on the dirtiest clothes we can find, don't shower for a few days, and try to act like an outlaw. Maybe we can frighten a few elderly people; BOO!" LOL.

Have you ever seen people on motorcycles? They never smile, they all have that grimace look on their faces, even the women on the back, I don't get it.

Anyway, good job to the law enforcement individuals!

I actually witnessed part of this pursuit yesterday; it started somewhere on I66 WB and proceeded to SB I81. Traffic SB was pretty heavy in BOTH lanes, but some how the motorcyclist was able to merge in without being crushed by a tractor trailer and the VSP officer, with emergency equipment activated, and with slowing traffic, proceeded on the pursuit. My best guess is that the cyclist was doing in excess of 100 mph and in just seconds, they were both out of sight. My story ends there, but kudos to all officers involved who brought this to an end without it being a fatality. Good job VSP and SPD.

Really? What an ignorant statement! I bath daily! Moreover, my motorcycle cost more than your car! As for not “smiling enough for you”, perhaps it’s an intense look scanning the road for the uninsured motorist who show no respect to a motorist on two wheels. Clearly ignorance is bliss, that’s why you ride around smiling all day!!!!

Probably don't want bugs in their teeth!

I don't know you, & I'm glad I don't know you. How ignorant of you to make such unfounded statements! To say that we put on the "dirtiest" clothes, don't bath (really?), & try to act like an outlaw??? What rock have you been living under? I ride my own 2000 harley fat boy motorcycle....do you even know what that is? Probably not. The fact is: I haven't seen you ride in freezing weather to provide toys to under-privileged kids, do any poker runs in the rain for a child with cancer, etc, do any type of benefit ride for a veteran, or do a benefit ride for abused animals. I could go on & on with this list, but you're not worth my time. You are just a very stupid, ignorant & probably lonely person. You should do us all a favor & keep your unfounded "opinion" to yourself. Ah, but then you're probably gonna defend yourself with your freedom of speech......well, we have FREEDOM TO RIDE!!! I would love for you to go to DC & say your opinion to the Rolling Thunder! Then I would have to agree with you on the outlaw part......because you probably wouldn't get out of there alive!!

Wow! Hope ignorance is bliss!

If you don't understand the whole "motorcycle culture" maybe you shouldn't comment on it.
Bike riders come in all shapes, sizes, colors, genders, nationalities, personalities, religions, etc.
How dare you generalize them! That would be like me saying all people with the initials of JT are inbred, uneducated and just plain stupid.
You go Harley Girl.

Planes, trains, automobiles, motorcycles, whatever...you run from cops you are a criminal.

i can remember coming down the hill on my big wheel. Cops were looking all over for me.

...i had cut through ms. winfields grass and the race was on.....

Aaron, consider yourself in the minority, regarding your personal hygiene, it is not in accord with my observations.

Nevertheless, how ignorant of you to declare your little motor scooter is worth more than someone's car. For obvious reasons, you have no idea what I drive.

Furthermore, how can you scan the road to determine if someone is insured? Do you have X-Ray vision, and can see in someone's glove box? You should train law enforcement on how to develop that special gift. I'm sure they would be very interested.

Clearly, the basis of your statement is not based on any substantiated fact.

Harley Girl, I stand by my statement, more so when it comes to some of those who ride Hogs. It is based on my factual observations. The individuals who ride the European and Japanese bikes don't seem to be afflicted with the "Rebel without a Cause" syndrome. The Harley riders are the worst, the clothes are usually grungy, tattered and have holes, except where they have patches and rebel flags (pro slavery) sewn on them.

You're correct, you will never see me riding a motorcycle in freezing weather or the rain, I have enough sense to stay out of bad weather. I don't need to participate in any benefit rides, I just write the check to the charity. I don’t require charities to give me something in return so I will feel obligated to donate.

Not participating in these rides saves fuel, reduces pollution, and eliminates one less vehicle on the road that is not necessary to be there.

I am familiar with Rolling Thunder, which really should be an all/only veteran event. Rather, you get all these hanger on types, who lie and brag about their alleged military service, and the types who refused military service after the elimination of the draft.

You know, the outlaws you mentioned who would probably take my life because I have an opinion, who really are just there because they own a motorcycle and want another reason to ride, rather than actually caring about the true reason for the event.

After reading your post and your protest that you have a right to ride, I now further understand the childish me-me nature of the mentality. Thank you for your unadulterated opinion.

My husband and I are responsible citizens that volunteer in our community. We are also motorcyclists that promote and practice safe riding. Please refrain from stereotyping motorcyclists. You might be pleasantly surprised. (I am grateful that the police were able to stop this guy.)

JT -- all I can say is...don't you see all of the retired folks out on the roads enjoying God's country? You really should stop you prejudice against motorcyclists and really take a good look at all riders.

I resent your remarks about motorcycle riders. I am a rider and I take great care and responsibility when I am riding. I bathe daily, sometimes twice a day, and if you could see behind my full-face helmet, you'd see a big grin because there is nothing like riding a motorcycle.

Try it, you might find you enjoy it.

JT---the only sense you have to stay hidden behind your (again, I repeat) "unfounded" opinion. Yes, you have a right to an opinion although it's clearly wrong. If you were all that familiar with Rollling Thunder, you would also know that ALMOST all of them have done some sort of military service & not just "act like they have". Again, how stupid can you be???? I truly believe you do live under a rock!! I also write checks to charity, but I also give MY TIME which is sometimes more important, but I don't really expect you to understand that sort of mentality because a person with your caliber of intelligence is actually uncapable. As far as "wanting another reason to ride", we don't need reasons to ride. Talk about childish attitude, you should try looking into a mirror. That is, if you can stomach what you see in the reflection. Done with wasting my time on you.....TOO MUCH BEAUTIFUL WEATHER FOR RIDING! Oh, I'm sorry....did I just mention another "reason" for riding??? LOL LOL LOL Yes, I'm laughing at you!! Thanks for a good laugh on Hump Day!! Also, it's kinda funny that virtually no one is supporting your comment, but wait a minute, I see I do have support & NOT only from fellow riders!

Wonder where JT is living? I have never seen the people he describes in Strasburg and I bet I've been here alot longer then he has! You're right Harleygirl, don't waste your time on him. YOU JUST CAN'T FIX STUPID.

So Sorry Harley Girl, didn't mean to step on your little toes, no need to resort to personal attacks, but it's clearly consistent with what I expected.

It's sad, and somewhat comical that your entire identity seems to be defined by a vehicle.

Now, go put on your bad girl biker uniform with the slavery flags, and take a ride, you'll feel all better. I hope you don't have a bunch of those nasty looking tats and tramp stamps as well, I can just imagine.

Thanks for the laugh, so many assumptions but nothing based in fact.

Vickie, come on down to "Frunt Rawl" on the weekend. You'll see packs of them all day long up and down 522.

Oh so sorry to hurt your ego....& you didn't step on my toes. I realize I just can't fix stupid. I have copied & pasted our comments on facebook. Funny how everyone is getting a laugh out of you. Anyway, not wasting anymore of my time. And, by the way, I am a 4 yr college graduate of Shepherd University with a degree in accounting so whatever you think of me is indeed not fact, but your "unfounded" opinion. Don't bother responding because I have more important things to do than see if you do respond.

Rusty is right (for once). ; ] This guy RAN from the cops - and he also put everyone around him in danger.

I'm not wild about the loud motorcycles but the childish name calling is too common here. Again it's so easy to put a label on people and go from there.

There are responsible riders and not so responsible - just like the drivers on the highways. As soon as anyone drives recklessly, they need to be dealt with immediately. This biker should be glad he's still alive.

Harley Girl...LOL. Why do your words say one thing, yet you do the opposite? You continue to personally attack me, because you don't agree with my opinion and assessment.

You state to me, I am not worth a response from you. Yet you felt it was necessary to respond not once, not twice, but three times to me.

Then for some wacky odd reason, you thought it was necessary to tell me about your educational background from a small liberal arts college.

Wow, talk about going off on a tangent into Cuckoo Bird Land. Now that is funny...LOL. I have my reservations, whether you can refrain from responding further, but we'll see.

It is small-minded and ignorant to condemn motorcyclists or catagorize all bikers as the same class of people. It's idiots who form such preconceived notions about people without knowing a thing about them other than the fact that they ride a motorcycle that creates an image of all bikers as rebels and the dregs of society. Some people make it obvious through their comments that they should never be chosen for jury duty. They couldn't be open-minded enough to hear the truth or weigh the evidence.

Wow, I have met so many different types of people through out my life that I cannot believe that JT is such a close minded and judgemental person. I have tried things that I would usually obstain from and found out that there is a excitement out there. There are different strokes for different folks. I have always been under the impression that people who judge are lacking something in there personal life and are just plain unhappy, which maybe in JT's case (?????). I say open your eyes and stop hating there is already so much of that in this world. When you die nothing you did will make a difference, we only have one chance at this life make it at least memorable.
