Winchester woman wins $100,000 in lottery

A Winchester woman has won $100,000 from the Virginia Lottery, according to a press release issued Wednesday.

Ruby Lynn matched all five numbers in the Cash 5 drawing held Aug. 17, the release states. Lynn bought the ticket at Throx Market Station, 1066 Millwood Pike, in Frederick County.

Lynn used Easy Pick, which let the computer select the numbers on her ticket. The computer picked 5-13-17-24-29 -- the winning numbers -- according to the release. Lynn won the top prize in the Cash 5 game.

The lottery holds Cash 5 drawings each day at 1:59 p.m. and 11 p.m. Chances of winning the $100,000 top prize are one in 278,256.
