Daily Staff Report
Those looking to give a lasting gift might want to team up with the Shenandoah County Fair Association, the Woodstock Tree Board and the town's urban tree canopy plan.
The fair association, as part of a beautification project, will plant 36 trees on the fairgrounds, according to a news release from the association. Eighteen trees will be planted in each of two phases.
Individuals, families, or businesses can pay $175 to cover the cost of a tree, its planting and a marker, according to the release.
The release states the association hopes to have the first phase planted Oct. 19, with a dedication ceremony the next day.
