A 2-year-old girl died Wednesday night from injuries suffered from a skid loader on a farm in Woodstock.
Maj. Scott Proctor of the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office said deputies and members of the fire and rescue department were dispatched to a farm in the 400 block of Riffey Lane around 5:30 p.m. The child was taken to Shenandoah Memorial Hospital where she was later pronounced dead, he said.
Proctor said he didn't know the circumstances of the incident, but "it appears at this point to be an accidental death."
"It was a tragic accident for all involved," Proctor said.
The name of the victim is being withheld.
