Jen Roszelle of SendOutCards in Strasburg was recently announced as the new ambassador of the Heart Link Women's Network.

"Jen has continuously been an example of the 'heart' of the Heart Link Network in her efforts to support, encourage and lift up her sister chapter leaders every way," wrote the Heart Link Network in a release. "Because of her enthusiasm, her heart, her energy and her passion for furthering the Heart Link Network mission, we are thrilled that she has accepted the role of HLN Virginia Ambassador."

The Heart Link Network is an international organization with more than 200 chapters spanning five countries. The Strasburg chapter began in November 2011.

Winchester-Frederick County Economic Development Commission (WFCEDC) received a silver "Excellence in Economic Development Award" for its WINVA.com website. The award was given by the International Economic Development Council in the category of general purpose website for communities with populations of 25,000-200,000 people.

The WFCEDC's website was redesigned in 2011 to create a focused, streamlined user experience for the commission's target audience of site consultants, commercial real estate professionals and new and existing business clients. The site was built using search engine optimization, the incorporation of social media and a new design based on current best practices in economic development web design.

The redesign of winva.com has resulted in a 45-percent increase per month in unique visitor traffic to the site.

Tracy Miller, an Edward Jones financial adviser in Edinburg, has been appointed as an area female recruiting leader for the firm's women's initiative in Virginia and West Virginia.

Miller will lead a group of Edward Jones financial advisers who will work closely with women in the two states interested in a career with the global financial services firm.

While fulfilling her duties as a leader of the recruiting team, Miller will continue to serve the investors of Edinburg and the surrounding areas.

The Strasburg chapter of the Heart Link Network is meeting at noon and 7 p.m. Thursday in Strasburg.

Trex Company, Inc. (NYSE: TREX) will release results for the third quarter of 2012 before the New York Stock Exchange opens for regular trading on Nov. 1.

The dividend will be payable Nov. 30, to shareholders of record on Nov. 7. The total payout to shareholders will be approximately $7.9 million.
