Daily staff report
Voter registrars offices in Frederick, Shenandoah and Warren counties did not close early Monday and as such do not plan to extend hours for in-person, absentee voting.
Registrars said Wednesday they stayed open regular hours until 5 p.m., even as some government agencies closed early Monday. The State Board of Elections allowed registrars offices that closed early on Monday to extend their hours to accommodate for voters wishing to file absentee ballots in person.
Registrars plan to maintain regular hours through 5 p.m. Saturday, allowing voters an extra day to cast absentee ballots in person.
