Daily staff report
One person was injured and transported to a hospital by helicopter as a result of a zip line accident around 4 p.m. Saturday at the Bryce Mountain Four Seaons Ski Resort near Basye.
A spokesman with the Orkney Springs Fire and Rescue Department, who refused to give his full name, said in a telephone interview that an adult male struck a zip line platform and suffered unspecified injuries.
A second person involved in the accident, a minor male, refused treatment at the scene, the spokesman said.
"We're not sure if it was equipment malfunction, or if something was not hooked up," the spokesman said. "All we know is that one patient struck the object while the other just had minor injuries."
