The following public meetings are scheduled this week:
Shenandoah County
The Board of Supervisors will hold a work session at 4 p.m. Thursday. The board plans to discuss:
Revisions to the Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual
A proposal to add Roberts Road as a rural road through the Virginia Department of Transportation, participation in the VDOT Revenue Sharing Program and an agreement between Shenandoah County and the residents of Roberts Road to fund the local share of such agreement
A pending transition in maintenance support for the county's Emergency 911 system and procurement of technical support regarding these changes
The charter for the citizens advisory committee
Procurement of services related to the staffing study for the sheriff's office and Emergency 911 Center
Woodstock
The Ordinance Committee meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The committee plans to discuss the special-use permit review process and off-street parking regulations.
Front Royal
Town Council meets for a work session at 7 p.m. Monday. Council plans to discuss:
The Water System Model and preliminary engineering services on a northern loop
Outstanding purchases by the town to be carried over from the previous budget cycle to the current fiscal 2013 budget
An ordinance to regulate businesses license fees and taxes for flea markets, peddlers, vendors, solicitors and canvassers
Renewal of a lease with Fred Foster and Foster's Jewelers for parking space
Vacation of an alley as requested by Shelby Lynn-Jeffries
An ordinance amendment to the town code chapter pertaining to fees
Items for the liaison committee meeting of Nov. 15
Reading requirements for ordinance amendments
Artifact searches at McKay Spring
Council also plans to meet in closed session to discuss the acquisition of real estate and for a personnel matter.
Frederick County
The Public Works and Green Advisory committees meet at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Stephens City
The Planning Commission meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
