Escaped Warren County inmate back in custody

Daily staff report

Escaped inmate Roy Dwayne Fincham is now in custody in Howard County, Md., according to a release sent out Thursday afternoon by Warren County Sheriff Daniel T. McEathron.

Fincham was found after a two-week joint investigation by the Warren County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshals Service.

Fincham, along with Tanya McCallum, were taken into custody Thursday morning in a Walmart parking lot in Howard County, the release states. McCallum was arrested on a warrant obtained by the Sheriff's Office for "aiding in the escape of an inmate committed on a felony charge."

Fincham, 28, of Front Royal was charged on Oct. 9 with revocation suspended sentence or probation. He failed to appear at the jail Oct. 27 after leaving the jail's work release building on his way to the jail kitchen to wash dishes, according to a previous press release issued by the Sheriff's Office.

No further details are available at this time, according to the release.
