Trex Company, Inc. (NYSE: TREX) recently announced financial results for the third quarter ended Sept. 30.
Net sales for the third quarter totaled $70.8 million, compared to net sales of $67.9 million for the same quarter 2011. Trex reported a net loss of $14.3 million, or $0.86 per diluted share, for the 2012 quarter. The company's net loss in the same quarter a year ago was $0.5 million ($0.03 per diluted share).
During the third quarter of this year, Trex recognized a $20 million pre-tax increase to its warranty reserve for decking material manufactured at its Nevada plant between 2002 and 2006.
For the nine months ended Sept. 30, the company reported net sales of $261.2 million, and a net income of $6.3 million, or $0.37 per diluted share.
Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (NASDAQ: SHEN) recently announced a net income of $1.4 million from continuing operations in the third quarter ended Sept. 30, compared to $3.6 million in the same quarter 2011.
Operating income for the third quarter was $5.4 million, down 41 percent from last year. Adjusted operating income before depreciation and amortization increased to $22.6 million.
Total revenues for the third quarter were $72.9 million, a 16.3-percent increase from the third quarter 2011. Operating expenses increased 26.1 percent to $14.0 million. Wireless operating expenses increased $11.9 million, cable segment operating expenses increased $1.6 million and wireline segment operating expenses increased $1.4 million.
Attorney Marilyn Ann Solomon recently announced that attorney Gerardo Delgado of Fairfax has joined her law firm.
Delgado specializes in bankruptcy law, divorce/family law and basic immigration law.
He was born in Peru and is the firm's first natural Spanish-speaking attorney.

Jim Thomson was named the top lister and Susan Raburn was announced as the top salesperson. The top producer was Erik Erdal.
