Mount Jackson robbers take prescription drugs, cash

Shenandoah County sheriff's deputies searched for two men wanted for a strong-armed robbery of another man in a vehicle in Mount Jackson on Friday morning.

Lt. Darcy Dellinger said the robbers took prescription medications and a wallet containing $175 from the victim while all three were riding in the vehicle near the intersection of Stonewall Lane and Caverns Road at about 9:40 a.m.

"They tried to choke him, threw him from the vehicle and took his wallet," Dellinger said.

Dellinger said the victim was uninjured and walked to nearby Stonewall Jackson High School where he reported the crime to a school resource officer. Dellinger said the victim was an acquaintance of the two suspects.
