Public meetings Dec. 31-Jan. 4
The following public meetings are scheduled:
The Conservation Easement Authority meets at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Board of Supervisors conference room. The authority plans to discuss and possibly vote on accepting the Island Ford Farm easement.
Town Council holds a work session at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Council plans to discuss a proposed contract with Planning Works to perform an update on the town's Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance so it can comply with the recently adopted Community Plan. Council also plans to discuss the proposed timeline for work on the fiscal 2014 budget; an amendment to the current budget to reallocate overtime funds to part-time funds in the Department of Public Works; the use of remaining fiscal 2012 money for maintenance from Virginia Department of Transportation.
Town Council meets at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The Board of Supervisors meets at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
The Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. The commission plans to hold public hearings on:
An amendment to the zoning ordinance pertaining to the residential performance district.
An amendment to the zoning ordinance pertaining to the rural areas district and a proposed revision to the setback exemption.
