Strasburg man charged with threatening woman with gun

Daily staff report

A Strasburg man was arrested early Saturday after he allegedly pulled a firearm on his ex-girlfriend.

Samuel Nathan Mauck, 33, of 77 Loving Lane, is charged with brandishing a firearm, Shenandoah County Sheriff's Lt. Darcy Dellinger said on Wednesday.

He said deputies were dispatched to the 7-Eleven, 225 N. Massanutten St., Strasburg, at about 11:20 p.m. Friday where a woman said she'd gotten into an argument with her ex-boyfriend at his home, and he threatened her with a .22-caliber rifle.

Dellinger said the firearm was recovered.

Mauck is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on Jan. 17.
