Christendom College earns reaccreditation

Daily staff report

Christendom College in Front Royal has earned renewed accreditation from the Southern Association of College and Schools, according to a release sent out by the college on Monday.

SACS visited the college last spring and examined the college's policies and institutional structure. The accrediting agency then issued its affirmation in December.

Because the college received no recommendation for improvement, it won't have to seek re-accreditation until 2022. According to the release, that is the best possible outcome that could result from the accreditation process.

Christendom College received full accreditation in 1987, and was renewed in 2002.
