Winchester police arrested a 50-year-old man Sunday and charged him with five counts linked to the rape of a 14-year-old girl.
Authorities said Ignacio Ramirez approached the girl around 5 p.m. and lured her to a storage unit on West Monmouth Street where the crime was committed.
Ramirez is charged with abduction, strangulation, forcible sodomy, aggravated sexual battery and object sexual penetration, according to a news release from Winchester police.
Lauren Cummings, a crime prevention specialist with the police, said the victim was treated at Winchester Medical Center. No other information on her condition was available.
