Public meetings Jan. 28-Feb. 1

The following public meetings are scheduled this week:

Strasburg
The Town Council Infrastructure Committee meets at 6 p.m. Monday. The committee plans to discuss future topics the panel should address.

The Town Council Finance and Personnel Committee meets at 7 p.m. Monday. The committee plans to hear a consultant's report on the town's fiscal 2011-2012 audit. The panel also plans to hold a preliminary discussion on the fiscal 2014 budget.

Woodstock
Town Council meets in closed session at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Planning Commission room to discuss the selection of a town manager.

Town Council and the Park Commission hold a joint meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday to discuss the W.O. Riley Park Master Plan.

Warren County
The Board of Supervisors meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the caucus room of the government center. Supervisors plan to hold a work session with department heads and constitutional officers pertaining to budget needs for fiscal 2014.

Front Royal
Town Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday in the Warren County Government Center. Council plans to discuss and possibly take action on:

An ordinance to amend the town code pertaining to Freedom of Information Act. If adopted the town would not charge fees for simple requests that require less than one half hour of staff time or less than 10 pages of paper.

An ordinance to amend the town code pertaining to utility accounts. If adopted, part of the amendment would allow utility customers or their dependents who are in poor health to receive an extension on the date payments are due before service is discontinued.

An ordinance to amend the town code pertaining to outdoor displays, sales and storage.

Funding for water and sewer system improvements at the Guard Hill and Crooked Run pump stations. CHA Consulting Inc. proposes to develop a preliminary engineering report, hydraulic design and design for the upgrades on the Guard Hill and Crooked Run pump stations needed to provide water and sewer services to the Dominion power plant.

A budget transfer and funding request of $3,800 to tourism promotion for the Front Royal-Warren County Power of Partnerships Alliance proposal

Council plans to go into closed session to discuss the possible acquisition and/or disposition of property and a personnel matter

Frederick County
The Public Works Committee meets at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Middletown
The Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. Monday.

Stephens City
The Parks and Recreation Committee meets at 5 p.m.

The Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The Town Council Finance Committee meets at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The Old School Subcommittee meets 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
