A 42-year-old woman was struck in the head by the mirror of a pickup after she darted into Main Street in Toms Brook Thursday morning, according to the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office.
Lt. Darcy Dellinger said witnesses reported seeing the woman run from her house into the road in the 3000 block of Main Street at about 6 a.m.. He said she was attempting to cross the street to get into a vehicle her husband was driving.
The woman received a laceration to the head when it was struck by the mirror of a Ford F-150, Dellinger said. He said she was taken to Winchester Medical Center.
Dellinger said no charges were being placed in the incident.
