Daily staff report
Front Royal police warned residents Tuesday that four or five people deemed suspicious individuals have been going door-to-door claiming to be selling hand lotions and soaps, despite a lack of soliciting permits from the town to do so.
"The subjects are attempting to gain entry into residences under this pretense," department officials said in a statement.
Department officials urged residents to contact police to confirm if a door-to-door salesperson has a valid solicitor's permit and not to let anyone without one into the home.
The department can be reached at 635-2111.
