Middletown may be a long way from Orlando, Fla., but a bit of Disney magic is coming to Lord Fairfax Community College Workforce Solutions.
The Disney Institute will present a one-day program on March 28 -- the third year Workforce Solutions has offered the course, programmer Christine Kriz said.
"There's a different twist this year," she said. "The previous years have been a leadership focus. This year is quality customer service focused.
"It's a team from Disney World. They're professional national speakers who go around the country doing the presentations."
Attendees will be taught how to create a culture of customer service, Kriz said.
"You don't have to be in [an] official customer service department to come to the event," she said. "Everybody does customer service. No matter what position you're in, you're providing customer service to others. It should be part of everybody's day-to-day activities, especially in today's economy."
Kriz noted that everyone at Disney World is in a good mood.
"The park is always clean," she said. "People are happy to help you."
The Disney Institute class is $495 a person, but there is a 2-for-1 deal available.
"While funds last, we have a buy one, get one free," Kriz said. "So, if a company wants to send two people, while the funds last they can buy one seat and get one free."
She said so far 150 of the 400 seats have been registered.
