The following public meetings are scheduled this week:
The Board of Supervisors holds a work session at 5 p.m. Tuesday. The board plans to hear a presentation by Matrix Consulting Group regarding the staffing study for the Sheriff's Office. Supervisors then will discuss the fiscal 2014 budget pertaining to the Sheriff's Office.
The Board of Supervisors holds a work session at 4 p.m. Thursday. The board plans to discuss a memorandum of agreement with the Shenandoah County Soccer League. Supervisors will review a final service agreement for haymaking on county-owned land in the Mt. Jackson Industrial Park. They also plan to discuss an easement proposal under review by the Conservation Easement Authority.
Town Council committees meet beginning at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the conference room of the Arthuer L. Hildreth Jr. Municipal Building.
The Zoning Committee will hold a special called meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday. The committee plans to discuss several chapters of the town's zoning ordinance.

Town Council and the Planning Commission will hold a joint public hearing at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday to receive comments on a proposed amendment to town code. The amendment would define art studios, allow for fine art studios and professional offices in buildings within both the high-density residential and historic districts by special-use permit. The amendment also provides additional conditions for professional offices in the residential and historic district an applicant must satisfy to receive a special-use permit.
Council then holds its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Members will hear a recommendation by the Finance Committee to amend the current budget. Council plans to consider on second reading an ordinance to amend the town code pertaining to the reduction of off-street parking for retail stores, restaurants, offices and personal-service establishments. Council will consider a resolution of the town approving a financing plan by the Woodstock Economic Development Authority for the benefit of Bridgewater Home Inc.
The Board of Supervisors meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday. The board plans to hear reports from agency and department representatives and set public hearings for several items.

The Urban Forestry Advisory Commission meets at 5 p.m. Monday in the Town Hall conference room.
Town Council holds a work session at 7 p.m. Monday. Council plans to discuss waivers for zoning permit application fees for the Front Royal Little League and James McCloskey, a Boy Scout seeking to build a wooden bridge at the Samuels Library as part of achieving his Eagle Scout designation. They plan to discuss an invoice from the Warren County Sheriff's Office seeking payment for the costs to house town inmates at the local jail. Council also will receive the town manager's proposed fiscal 2014 budget.
The Technology Committee meets at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
The Board of Supervisors and the Finance Committee hold a work session at noon Wednesday.
The School Board holds a work session at 6 p.m. Wednesday followed by its regular meeting at 7 p.m.
The Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The commission will hold a public hearing on a conditional-use permit for a home office at 102 Caliber Court. The panel then will discuss the future expansion of the Sewer Water Service Area near Middletown and the Lord Fairfax Community College; and an update to the Northeast Land Use Plan and SWSA expansion near Woodbine and Woodside roads.
The Winchester-Frederick County Economic Development Commission meets at 8 a.m. Friday.
