Public meetings for March 11-15

The following public meetings are scheduled this week:
Shenandoah County
The Board of Supervisors meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The Board of Supervisors holds a work session at 5 p.m. Thursday. The board plans to discuss the scope of services for the county administrator search performed by consulting firm Springsted Inc. The board also plans to discuss general fund revenues and proposed capital spending for fiscal 2014.
The Conservation Easement Authority meets at 4 p.m. Wednesday. The authority plans to discuss a proposal from the Valley Conservation Council for collaboration on outreach to agricultural and forestall district landowners. They plan to hear a briefing on the Board of Supervisors role in the county easement program. The authority will consider a proposal for easements on the Hawkins Farm. They will hear an update on the Vance Farm easement and consider option for preserving the knob near Mount Jackson.
Edinburg
Town Council meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Council plans to consider:
Mount Jackson
Mayor Joseph A. Williams holds an open-door meeting at noon Tuesday. Town Council meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Strasburg
Town Council meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Council plans to give recognitions to Celilia McGough for her discovery of a pulsar and to Kent Cadle and Nic Campbell as state wrestling champions. Council also may take action on the Strasburg Downtown Plan and tax write-offs for 2007.
The Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Woodstock
Town Council meets in closed session at 5 p.m. Tuesday to discuss the town manager selection process.
The Town Council Finance Committee holds a work session on the fiscal 2014 budget at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Planning Commission room of the municipal building.
Warren County
The Parks and Recreation Commission meets at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the Warren County Community Center, 538 Villa Ave., Front Royal.
The Warren County Airport Commission meets at 7 p.m. Monday at the terminal.
The Board of Supervisors holds a work session on the fiscal 2014 budget at 9 a.m. Tuesday. The board plans to discuss the county's proposed budget and potential reductions, spending plans for the sanitary districts, the fee and tax schedule, the Virginia Retirement System and the proposed budget request from the school system.
The Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The commission plans to hold public hearings on:

Town Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday. Council plans to hold public hearings on:
Frederick County
The Comprehensive Plans and Programs Committee meets at 7 p.m. Monday.
The Parks and Recreation Commission meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The Board of Supervisors meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The board plans to consider a waiver from public road frontage requirements requested by 300N LLC for the Blue Ridge Hospice site on Winchester Drive; and to discuss private streets in the residential recreational community district.
The Code and Ordinance Committee meets at 3 p.m. Thursday.
Middletown
Town Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday
Stephens City
The Planning Commission holds a work session at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday
The Town Council Personnel Committee meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
