Shenandoah County Fair entertainment announced

Daily staff report

Several well-known country acts are lined up for this year's Shenandoah County Fair.

Thompson Square, the American Academy of Country Music's Duo of the Year for two years' straight, will be performing on Aug. 28, the fair's general manager, Tom Eshelman, said on Friday.

"They just won last week," he said.

Tate Stevens, who won on X Factor last year, will be performing Aug. 30.

In between those two nights, Virginia Dreams Center Stage Live will be taping as Doug Stone performs, Eshelman said.

The Aug. 25 show won't be announced until after Memorial Day, he said.

Other grandstand events will include a modified truck pull, two nights of open demolition derbies, and Impact Wrestling, Eshelman said.
