Town Council meets at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. Council plans to convene in closed session to discuss personnel matters. Council will then hold public hearings beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Following the hearing council will conduct its regular meeting. Members will hear a report on the First Avenue Drainage Project. Council may take action to approve the town's budget for fiscal 2014; to set the tax rates for personal property and real estate, fees and levies for utilities and vehicle licenses.
Council also plans to see a presentation on a proposed new format for the town's website and members could award a contract for sidewalk repairs.
The Town Council Finance Committee meets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. The committee plans to convene in closed session to discuss the acquisition of real property.
The Tourism and Economic Development Committee meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The committee plans to continue a discussion on lighting options for the West North Street water tank.
Town Council and department leaders meet for a strategic planning work session at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. The town website states the purpose of the work session is to begin the process of creating a strategic plan for Woodstock to include measurable goals and objectives that will contribute to the town's overall vision.

The Parks and Recreation Commission meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The Board of Supervisors meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The board plans to hold a public hearing on a rezoning application filed by Greenway Engineering to rezone 3.61 acres from neighborhood business to general business with proffers, or offers connected to development. The property lies on the north side of Va. 277 (Fairfax Pike) adjacent to VDOT Lane and approximately a half-mile east of Interstate 81 Exit 307 in the Opequon Magisterial District.
The board also plans to discuss temporary family health care institutions, rural preservation lot requirements and a resolution asking that the Virginia Department of Transportation add sections of Town Run Lane and Stickley Drive to its secondary road system.
