The Virginia Department of Transportation plans to close a road near Edinburg beginning next week.
Dellinger Acres Road (Va. 691) will close for approximately two weeks in order for crews to replace a bridge, according to a VDOT press release. Crews will close the road at 8:30 a.m. from 1.75 miles east of Va. 717 to 0.95 west of Buggy Ridge Road (Va. 705). Work is weather permitting.
VDOT anticipates completion of the project at 3:30 p.m. July 12.
VDOT suggests motorists use the following detours: Westbound traffic head south on Buggy Ridge Road (Va. 705), west on Jerome Road (Va. 703), north on Supinlick Ridge Road (Va. 611), north on Liberty Furnace Road (Va. 717) to the end of the detour at Dellinger Acres Road.
Eastbound traffic can travel south on Liberty Furnace Road, south on Supinlick Ridge Road, east on Jerome Road, north on Buggy Ridge Road to the end of the detour on Deillinger Acres Road.
