Front Royal man missing in Shenandoah National Park

Daily staff report

Authorities are searching the Shenandoah National Forest for a 21-year-old Front Royal man reported missing around noon Monday.

A National Park Service news release identified the missing man as Tyler Keefer. Park officials reported Dickey Ridge Trailhead as Keefer's last known location. His bicycle was found at the trailhead Saturday, and he may have gone hiking in the afternoon, park officials said.

Keefer is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing about 175 pounds and having brown hair, a mustache and a beard. He has brown eyes.

The Front Royal Police Department has been helping in the search for Keefer, park officials said.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-732-0911.
