The Lord Fairfax Soil and Water Conservation District is accepting applications for cost share assistance for Agricultural Best Management Practices for 2014. The program aims to improve local water quality and soil health by helping fund environmental projects. This year, the program can fund 100 percent of the cost of installing stream fencing. Behavioral Health Services of Shenandoah Valley Medical System Inc. has added a new psychiatrist and therapist to its team. Dr. Antonio Garcia, a board certified psychiatrist, is seeing adult patients at the Martinsburg and Charles Town locations of Behavioral Health Services. Jeanne Reed, a certified licensed clinical social worker, is seeing adolescents and adults at the Martinsburg and Charles Town locations.
United Bankshares has declared a third-quarter dividend of 31 cents per share for shareholders of record as of Sept. 13, 2013. The dividend payout of about $15.6 million on 50.4 million shares is payable Oct. 1, 2013.
Virginia Lottery sales representatives Noel Hicks and Mark Sasser have received awards for their performance in the 2013 fiscal year. Hicks was given the MVP award for the lottery’s Shenandoah Valley sales region and Sasser was honored for the highest percentage to goal.
