Daily staff report
The Frederick County Voter Registration Office plans to hold a registration drive from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Bowman Library, 871 Tasker Road, according to information from General Registrar Rick Miller.
The office will provide absentee ballot applications for registered voters who have a valid reason why they cannot go to the polls on Election Day.
New voters may complete, sign and date their registration applications. The registrar's office will process the applications and voter cards will be mailed to new voters with completed forms. Miller advises that registered voters who have moved recently should fill in a new application to update their information.
Other dates are:
- Oct. 15 - Deadline to register to vote or to upgrade current voter's information
- Oct. 29 - Deadline to apply for a mailed absentee ballot
- Nov. 2 - Last day for in-person absentee voting
