Teen accused in terrorism plot denied bond

A 17-year-old Edinburg boy accused of a terrorism plot against Stonewall Jackson High School in Quicksburg remains in jail after a judge denied a motion to release him on bond.

Circuit Judge Dennis L. Hupp's decision on Wednesday upheld a decision that was appealed last week from Judge William H. Logan in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

The teen has been charged with conspiring to commit an act of terrorism, threatening to bomb or damage a building and manufacturing or possessing a fire bomb, explosive materials or devices. He continues to be held in Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Winchester. His next appearance in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court is scheduled for Nov. 26.
